Starvation State Park

Utah State Parks: The sprawling waters of Starvation Reservoir offer great fishing and boating. Find a secluded campsite at one of four primitive and two developed campgrounds. Bring your off-highway vehicle and ride on nearby trails, try our 3-D archery course, walk our slack lines, or go geocaching. The annual walleye fishing tournament has become a popular fishing event with trophy 10-plus pound fish being caught nearly every year. The scenic beauty of 3,500 acres of park land, many coves, remote beaches and unusually blue water makes this a favorite of boating enthusiasts statewide. Starvation Reservoir and Duchesne are close to Nine Mile Canyon and several angler-friendly drainages and canyons of the High Uintas, great for hiking, horseback riding and OHV. Make a reservation on the Utah State Parks reservation site or call 800-322-3770.
